About the session:
We highly recommend that support staff are involved in this session to fully support classroom implementation. The whole day is broken up with numerous games and activities that can be differentiated to suit all year levels and abilities. The middle session is run as if the presenter was your classroom teacher, so that attendees can get a real feel for how it will look throughout their classroom, and how students’ will learn throughout this approach. This is an essential first day in implementing Big Write and VCOP into your classroom or school.

- Background and Research - What is Big Write & VCOP?
- An overview of the Big Write week.
- The Big Write and VCOP day - complete a mini VCOP and Big Write session including self-editing.
- Intensive Analysis - complete a mini intensive analysis session, including breakdown buddies and highlighting as well as a brief overview of the student criterion scale.
- Look at the Australian Criterion Scale for marking and assigning student levels.
- Basic overview of Cold Writes and Data Tracking.
